The school day for Reception to Year 6 begins at 9 am and ends at 3.15 pm. On a Wednesday we close at 2.15pm.
This totals 30 hours and fifteen minutes per week.
The school is open for ‘Getting Ready to grow time’, from 8.30 am to 9 am.
Pupils are actively encouraged to come and prepare themselves for the next step in their learning. In this time there are a variety of activities available in each class, including:- one to one pastoral support, a pre-teach before a lesson that day, one to one readings.
We are pleased to note that since starting ‘Getting ready to grow time’ punctuality of the vast majority of pupils has improved and most of the pupils arrive before 8.45am.
If your child needs an extra incentive to get to in for
‘ Getting ready to grow time’, ‘grab a bag bagels’ with golden dojo tickets are available on the way into school on a Monday and a Friday.
Please note that during this academic year we will be going to consultation with parents as to school hours for 23/24 as registration will be moving to 8.45am or 8.30am to ensure that we meet the statutory requirement of 32.5 hours from September 2023.
