Timings:
School day:
8.30 – 9.00 –Ready to learn
9.00- 15.15 – School Hours (Wednesday 9.00-14.15)
Snack time: 9.45 (approx)
Lunchtime: 12.00
Snack:
A piece of fruit and a carton of milk are provided daily.
Please contribute £1 per week to enable us to provide a variety of additional nutritious snacks such as cream cheese crackers, wraps, wholemeal toast and yogurts.
Please provide your child with a named water bottle which needs to be kept in school. This can be accessed by them throughout the day.
Book-bags
Your child’s reading book will be sent home on a Monday and Thursday after a staff member has read with them individually. Please share as many books as possible at home with your child. Books need to be returned on a Monday and Thursday morning for your child to be issued with another reading book. Please comment in their reading record to share with staff.
P.E
Reception P.E day is Monday. Your child is to come into school wearing their P.E kit and appropriate footwear.
Outdoor Play:
At Thomas Gray we believe in the importance of outdoor play to the holistic development of all children. This year we have provided each child in the class with their own waterproof outdoor suit to keep them warm and dry when it rains. Please can we request that you send in a pair of wellies for your child to keep in school which will help them to enjoy investigating and exploring, whatever the weather!
